1967 Ford Mustang Bullitt Clone description:
This is a 1967 San Jose California built original Ford Mustang fastback, with all original Ford, never rusted or replaced sheet metal. The car was originally built with a "C" engine code (factory V8) and over the last 15 years has been completely disassembled, rotisserie striped and restored to the highest standard by professional technicians. This car was rebuilt as if it was a new car being done by the factory except to a much higher standard incorporating modern products and technologies not available in 1967.BODY: All body panels were stripped to bare metal, closely inspected then etch/epoxy primed, aligned and straightened, painted in two stage PPG Bullitt Green. Once cured the new finish was color sanded to 5000 wet and finally power buffed to a mirror finish.CHASSIS: The front and rear sub-frame body structure has been linked together with TCP sub frame connectors, all the way to the rear wheels incl TCP center support and TCP mini tub fabrication. The single hoop roll bar is integral with this chassis reinforcement. Steering is TCP Rack and Pinion, suspension is adjustable with coil over shocks and TCP 4 link rear to a Fab9 differential with a 3.89-1 sure grip ratio. Both anti sway bars are TCP, The wheels are 17" American Racing, brakes are 13" Bear on all 4 corners, Master Cylinder Wilwood and the Transmission is TKO 600 5 speed/with Bullitt Hurst shifter and ball.ENGINE: Is pro built by a noted expert, starting with a Ford 351 block then, blueprinted, and the block was set up to be stroked to 410 cubic inch displacement. All spinning components were balanced and all parts used were new and top quality, incl, AFR CNC cylinder heads, mechanical roller tappet cam, forged rods/crank, VictorJr intake under a 750cfm Holley, The drive belt system has been modified for a Front Runner serpentine belt system to keep the water pump, alternator and A/C compressor working fine at high load and rpm. The exhaust begins with black thermo coated JBA headers and works into a full custom exhaust w/spintech mufflers, the radiator is Ron Davis aluminum cooling system with dual electric fans. The engine has been dyno set up, run in and tuned neting 530 horsepower and 555 ft lbs of torque. The fuel is supplied from a new 22 gall stainless tank and pushed by an Eidelbrock electric pump, the clutch is dual disc and very easy to engage and operate.INTERIOR AND TRIM: the chrome bumpers have all been redone and much of the exterior trim is powder coated low gloss black as in the movie car. The body has all new factory A/C tinted glass installed with new weather strip/seals at glass and doors. The floors are insulated with dynamatt, new wiper and window regulators were installed, and the wiring has been re done with a new custom harness. The SCAT front and rear leather covered seating is black and done to a high standard with comfortable but supportive front seats, new headliner, carpets, dash pad, door panels and all hard surfaces were refinished to original quality and appearance. Other options include Vintage Air conditioning, tilt steering column, Bullitt Steering wheel, and complete set of Pro Comp Gauges.
