1975 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible
For those car collectors that like their collector cars BIG it is hard to find a bigger collector car from the seventies then the 1975 Cadillac Eldorado convertible! In 1975, this was the biggest front wheel drive car in the world and received big play in the media for being a ragtop. If you haven’t sat in a 1975 Cadillac Eldorado…you will be amazed at how long the hood looks from behind the steering wheel. It certainly ranks up there with one of the longest hoods in post war cars between 1955 and 1980.Even the trunk on the Cadillac Eldorado with the top down is still immense. The car has a button for everything whether it is power windows, power seats or trunk, etc.
This car with its oversized V8 with front wheel drive and very soft suspension makes this a fantastic car for the road.It has been said that you can drive in this car for many continuous hours on the road and still feel refreshed.
The elderly car collector has owned this beautiful 1975 Cadillac Eldorado convertible for about 4-5 years.Because of personal reasons this collector has been reducing the size of his collection and we are very happy to present this beautiful “land yacht” to the next caretaker who enjoys these big cars from the 1970s.
The current owner has provided us with the following details about the car while it has been in his ownership:
The private seller tells us that this 1975 Cadillac Eldorado in Bombay Yellow was a California car and he has seen no sign of rust ever – see pictures of the bottom of car.
Repainted in Bombay Yellow about 3 years ago just to freshen it up – no body damage or repairs needed.
Chrome bumper and trim are above average to excellent in the private seller’s opinion.Again, check out the details in the photos.
60,000 miles was showing on the California title but the owner tells us that he was required to surrender the title when he titled the car in his name.Note on the current title it states “not actual miles” which is a routine disclosure for titles in that state. The odometer is currently showing about 60,000 miles and the owner believes this to be correct.
The items listed below have been done under private seller’s ownership:
Complete new interior and convertible top by a professional shop that does high quality work. The interior was done in authentic imitation leather grain – seats, door panels, quarter panels, carpet and dash.Including the convertible top and boot.
New shocks & CVC joints
Complete tune up.
New disk brakes, calipers and rotors.
Steel belted radial whitewall tires
All fender fillers front and rear.
Items that need repair
AC blows but not cold
Clock currently doesn’t work
The private seller further states that it is a really straight car, and starts and stops and drives as it should.
Seller says he would not hesitate to drive it on a long trip.
This is a massive car whether you are driving with the top up or down! However when you are driving with the top down it is truly a fantastic experience to savor. When you park a 1975 Cadillac Eldorado next to other full size cars of the day the other cars look like compacts next to the Eldorado! If you are the type of collector that likes a big car and likes to tour at high speeds with the wind in your hair and the radio blasting away with people waving to you from other cars…this just might be the car you have been looking for!We can tell you that owner of this car is an elderly man who is motivated to sell this car to a good home and has an extremely conservative reserve – everybody should bid to win!
1975 Cadillac Eldorado convertibles always seem to draw a crowd to take a look at the car so be prepared to answer questions.
You can’t go anywhere in this car and not be noticed!!
